Parent Login Updates
We are so glad you are joining us on Canvas. Here are some updates to recent Parent Log In Issues:
Email Notification Links
Clicking on a link within an email notification from a teacher or the school office will now take you to a "Splash Page" where you choose the Parent Login button, taking you to a login screen that works. However, you won't be taken directly to the item referenced in the email. To view that:
- stay logged in
- go back to the email notification
- click the link again
Login via the Canvas app is now working.
- Tap on the Canvas app
- Enter "CHC" in the "Find your school or district"
- You'll be directed to the "Splash Page" where you'll choose the Parent Login button
- Log in as usual on the following page.
Q: Can I change my password?
A: Unfortunately, this is a function that is still not available for us. We have enabled something called Single Sign On that makes our students login process much easier. Because of this functionality being enabled for our students we do not have the ability for a user to reset their password.
Thank you for your patience using this new Learning Management System. We will have Parent Training sessions available in the near future...as soon as the craziness of the first weeks of school subsides!
