Meet Our Staff
Before teaching at Cherry Hills Christian School, Gary worked in real estate brokerage and development here in the Denver area for several years. After that, he returned to school for his second degree and teaching certification. Gary has taught math and Bible at Cherry Hills for 18 years and was one of the two original teachers in the middle school with Evan Dalrymple. Gary and his wife Pranadda have four children who have all attended Cherry Hills Christian. Their home church is Highline Community Church, but don't let that discourage you from visiting or attending. Gary received his BS in Business Finance from Arizona State University, BA in History from Metropolitan State University, and Teaching Certification from Metropolitan State University.
Bill earned a BSBA at Washington University in St. Louis and then entered the field of insurance underwriting. Five years later he realized teaching was God's call on his life. Bill spent nine years in missions, primarily teaching English and helping to lead cross-cultural training schools before entering K-8 education. He received a master's degree in curriculum and instruction at the University of Denver and has been teaching 5th and 6th grades since 2006. He loves teaching science because of the innumerable ways it points to our ingenious Creator. Bill and his wife Jodi live in Littleton with their daughter and two sons.
Kathy hails from Michigan, has a masters degree in learning disabilities and is highly qualified in Social Studies and Language Arts. She loves the opportunities Cherry Hills Christian provides to serve others in the community and on missions trips, and finds great joy in working with the middle school students and staff. She loves serving Christ by serving others through her teaching and ministry work in the U.S. and abroad. In her free time she enjoys gardening, reading, travel, watching sports, and outdoor activities with her family.

Wendy is a Denver, Colorado native, having lived here all her life except when her husband's job moved the family to Chicago for two and a half years. She has been married to her husband since 1979. They have two sons, a daughter-in-law, and a grandson. Wendy loves to read, work in her yard and garden, travel, and camp and hike with family. She also love baseball and football (in that order!) – go Rockies and Broncos!
Wendy started out teaching preschool and then, after her boys grew up, she back to school and received her Bachelor's degree in education from Metropolitan State University of Denver and then her Master's degree in Education from Regis University. She has taught at Cherry Hills Christian Middle School since the fall of 1999.

Yumiko Clark attended the University of Northern Colorado where she received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics for Secondary Education. She completed her course work at Colorado Christian University for her M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction in 2007. She started her teaching career in the Cherry Creek School District before getting the opportunity to teach abroad in Luxembourg and Paris. After teaching and traveling abroad for three years, she moved back to the great state of Colorado to be closer to family and the slopes.
Gisele Christian Conn is an Artist and Teacher. She began teaching at CHCMS in 1999 and holds a B.A. in Art, Spanish and Letters from the Metropolitan State University of Denver, an A.A. in Graphic Art & Design from the University of Puerto Rico, and an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from Colorado Christian University in 2014. Additional post-grad courses in Art, Spanish and History were completed in: Barcelona, Spain; Cuernavaca, Mexico; Samara, Costa Rica and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Gisele is living her dream - sharing what she loves and teaching what God has so generously granted her the privilege to learn - in a school where He is exalted daily.
Evan Dalrymple, known around CHC as Mr. D, is a Colorado native and grew up in the Four Corners area.
Evan loves any time he can hang out with his wonderful daughter and son, both grown and living away from home. He loves to sing, particularly about Jesus, and enjoys fly-fishing whenever he can get away and throw a line in the water ... getting out in God’s creation.
Mr. D has been an educator in some capacity since 1982, having taught 6th grade thru Graduate School, in both public and private Christian schools. Most of his teaching and administrative experience has been at the secondary level. He has served at CHC Middle School since its inception in 1994, and feels absolutely privileged, blessed and excited to serve our wonderful families, alongside such fantastic colleagues.

Sandy Ervine is a graduate of The University of Texas where she received her Bachelors of Business Administration - Finance degree. Sandy enjoys her role as the Finance Officer for Cherry Hills Christian School. She has a daughter and a son who both attended CHC throughout their Elementary and Middle School years. Sandy has worked at CHC for over ten years in this role and has enjoyed watching the school evolve and grow through the years. She considers it a privilege to be part of the CHC staff.
Karin graduated from CU Boulder in 1986 with a B.S. in Business Administration. She has served at Cherry Hills since 1999 and has served in the elementary school and currently as the Business Manager. When not at CHC, Karin enjoys horseback riding, reading and photography.
Patty Gallegos has taught middle school for more than 20 years. She attended the University of Northern Colorado and received a bachelor of arts in physical education and math. Growing up her passion was soccer, and she played soccer in both high school and college. She then returned to school and got a masters degree in counseling education. Currently she loves watching her teenagers play sports and spending time with her family. She loves God and loves making a difference in kids lives.
Tami is a Colorado native and feels honored to raise her family in this beautiful state. She is married to Jeff and they have three children: Ben, Abbie, and Josh, as well as a house full of animals.
She attended the University of Colorado where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology before attending the University of Denver where she completed work to receive her teaching license and Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She was actually a Kindergarten and 2nd grade teacher before becoming a mom. Tami first worked at Cherry Hills Community Church for nine years as an Executive Assistant and Publications Manager before moving to her role as Middle School Office Manager.

Shannon Havekost is our Technology Integration Specialist in our Elementary School, as well as our Marketing Manager. She has been serving with us since 2014. Shannon was born and raised in Denver, CO. She attended high school at Denver Lutheran. She went on to study Communications and Public Relations at the University of Colorado at Denver. After four years in the marketing field, she returned to UCD to complete her teaching license in 2008. Shannon has also served as a 3rd and 5th grade classroom teacher. Most recently she joined our Marketing team at Cherry Hills Christian. She can be seen at our marketing events and in the STEAM Lab.
Shannon is the proud mother of two boys, Aaron and Reid. They spend a great deal of their free time at their family cabin in Bailey, CO riding 4-wheelers and paddle boats. She looks forward to teaching technology and working in Marketing for several years to come!

Kristen Hollenback is the Seventh Grade Language Arts teacher. She is a graduate of Oral Roberts University and has attended Colorado Christian University in pursuit of her Master of Arts degree. Prior to joining Cherry Hills Christian Middle School in 2007, Kristen taught middle and high school English for two years in Dallas, TX and seven years in Lakewood, CO. She has been married to Doug for 19 years and has both a teenage son and daughter. Kristen loves to travel and to teach, and she maintains that she finds pure joy in spending her days with the students at CHCMS.
Mr. Jim Hunt grew up in Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Business/Finance degree. He later earned his teaching license and Masters degree from the University of Denver in Curriculum and Development. Jim has been teaching at CHC since 1998, first in 5th grade, and in middle school since 2005. He currently teaches Math and Bible and feels privileged to be in a Christian school especially at Cherry Hills Christian.
Jim has a wonderful wife, Kristin and three girls, Abby, Maggie, Molly- all CHC graduates. He loves playing golf, but it can be frustrating at times. He also bikes, swims laps, and hikes to stay in shape.

Mr. Hynum was born in Ukarumpa, Papua New Guinea to missionary parents and grew up in the village of Tumung Gain. He has two beautiful children, Kendyl and Caedon. He met his wife Jamie in 1988 when he spoke in her Sunday school class when his family was visiting supporting churches. He recalls that he talked about the huge spiders they have in New Guinea! He loves God, loves kids and loves teaching. He loves worshipping and has been playing the same guitar since he was 12 years old. His guitar has traveled on missions trips to more than 10 countries with him. He is passionate about Jesus, his family, the Bible and foreign missions.
Nathan has had the incredible privilege of teaching in some pretty interesting places. He taught World Religions at La Escuela de Estudios Pastorales, (The School of Pastoral Studies) in San Sebastian, Costa Rica; Inductive Bible Study in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; High School Bible at Sojourn Academy in Costa Rica, and is currently an Affiliate Faculty member at Colorado Christian University where he has taught Bible courses in the College of Adult and Graduate Studies for the past two years.

Prior to teaching at Cherry Hills Christian Middle School, Lisa Krantz taught at Castle Rock Junior High for three years and was privileged to stay home with her children for ten years. She graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor of Arts in English and her Certificate in Secondary Education.
Lanena is originally from southern California, but her family has been in Colorado for more than 20 years. She has a wonderful husband, two amazing children and a grandson who makes her world shine brighter! She loves to read, garden and enjoy beautiful Colorado in her spare time. Her daughter's family lives in Wyoming, so she and her husband now venture to see them often.
Lanena brings a degree in Business Administration and a heart for serving others. She has served in a variety of positions at CHC, and loves working with our Enrollment team to host guests and help our wonderful families. She considers it a privilege to work with families as they consider Christian education and help them discover all the ways Cherry Hills will love on, minister to and serve both parents and their children.

Liz graduated in 1989 from Doane College with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. She has served at Cherry Hills Christian for over seven years as the Human Resources Manager for all three schools. Outside of CHC, Liz enjoys spending time in the mountains, taking cooking classes and reading.
Susan is a Colorado native. She has lived other places for short periods of time, but Colorado is home. She
met her husband in middle school and they got married their first year of college. They have three daughters, all CHC graduates. Caitlin works for CSU Rams Football, Kara works as a Supervised Visitation Specialist and Maddie attends CSU. Susan's passion is serving others and missions. They have been on several mission trips as a family and she gets to quench her thirst for missions and service in our Middle School. She loves to be outdoors, traveling abroad and within the US. She loves to work out and be active! The McGhee's have a horse that Susan loves to ride and train with and she loves capturing their trips and memories on camera.

Mrs. Moore grew up in Golden Valley, Minnesota and moved to Denver in 2005 and LOVES it! She is happily married to John Moore. They have two sons: Jack (graduate of CHC and CCU, lives and works in ABQ, NM) and Bobby (CHC grad who will graduate from CSU in December 2017).
Judy is passionate about following after and serving God, my family, loving life and people, travel, the outdoors, music, history, learning and reading. Her hobbies include—travel/people, sports, biking, outdoors, gardening, foodie stuff/healthy cooking, music, reading...
She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Education with a minor in Music from Minnesota State University, Mankato, MN. She went on to earn her Master of Education degree from University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. Judy taught full time for eight years at Edina Public Schools, Edina, MN. She was a substitute teacher for three years at Heritage Christian Academy, Maple Grove, MN. At CHC, she taught Language Arts and is currently teaching 7th Grade World History.

Mrs. Olsen came to CHCMS in 2013 from Bismark, ND where she taught six years of 7th grade mathematics and coached 8th grade volleyball. She earned her BA in Biology Teaching with a Theology minor from the University of Mary, and a Masters in Education from the University of North Dakota. Mrs. Olsen has served with Hearts MOPS and Whiz Kids Tutoring while attending Cherry Hills Community Church. She and her husband, Levi, enjoy golfing and outdoor family adventures with their three young children, Bergen, Lucas, and Marcus, and sweet goldendoodle, Piper.
Born in Owosso, Michigan, Rebecca grew up the oldest of six siblings in a busy parsonage family. She went to college in Kankakee, Illinois, and received her teaching credentials from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. She later earned her Master's degree from Colorado Christian University. Rebecca enjoys reading, journaling, writing, scrapbooking, singing, baking and conversing with friends.
Rebecca's has two grown sons. David, his wife April and their two children live in Frederick, Colorado; James and his wife April and their five children live in Irwinton, Georgia. Her immediate family, as well as her extended family in Michigan, are sources of joy to her.
Her passion is teacher middle school students, assisting them with their academic goals and helping them grow in their faith. Rebecca taught in the public school system for 23 years before joining the CHCMS staff in 2014. She also served as a Sunday School curriculum editor for WordAction Publishing Company for 5 years.
