Grade Levels

Kindergarten

As children begin Kindergarten, we believe in providing a nurturing and loving environment where boys and girls are encouraged to grow spiritually, academically and emotionally. The beginning of a child's educational journey is very important and we do all we can to set children on the right path.

Cherry Hills Christian offers a Half Day Morning Kindergarten and a Full Day Kindergarten (three days per week).

First Grade

In planning for your first grader’s education, we will consider their strengths and interests. The learning environment will be one that encourages active participation on the part of each student. Children will learn as they explore, observe and interact with each other. They will be encouraged to express themselves through art, music, movement, and writing. We value your participation in the education of your child and look forward to working with you during your child's first grade year.

Second Grade

The second grade student at Cherry Hills Christian is welcomed into the classroom as a child "amazingly and wonderfully made" by God (Psalm 139:14).

Developmentally, the students are beginning to think in concepts, and are encouraged to consider the value of a personal relationship with God, along with growth in Biblical knowledge and spiritual formation.

Academically, students are expanding and gaining confidence in core skills initially introduced in grade one. Positive social interactions and the development of Christ-like character qualities are important goals achieved in class through personal interaction, a variety of curriculum, individualized learning, and the use of technology as a tool for both teachers and students.

Participating in class and school-wide mission projects, gives students the opportunity to develop important life long skills and a growing perspective of God's view of the world.

In planning for your Third Grader's education, we will consider their strengths and interests. Students will learn as they explore, observe and interact with each other.

Fifth Grade

As a fifth grade student at Cherry Hills Christian, your child will grow in his or her biblical knowledge, strengthen skills academically in all core subjects, and will continue to develop more mature interpersonal qualities. These are achieved in class through our excellent curriculum, which is enriched with top-notch technology in the hands of the teachers and students. Off-campus opportunities, such as attending Camp Id-Ra-Ha-Je and Ameritown, as well as participating in class and school-wide mission projects, gives our students the opportunity to develop important life long skills as well as give back to our community and our world.
